If you’re not interested in changing your life, then ignore this page. If you are, then adopt this belief! It’s been a good few weeks into the New Year, but you’ve fallen off the wagon. You’ve stopped going to the gym. You’ve started smoking again. You’ve gone back to being aggressive towards people. You’ve broken your New Year’s Resolution! You’ll read on the internet that you shouldn’t feel guilty. The first thing I’m going to tell you is that you should.
Around a year ago, after years of drinking, smoking, eating whatever I wanted to and not investing in myself, I went through a series of events. After these events I decided to stop blaming everyone else and stop blaming the system. Instead, I decided to look at myself. I made myself feel guilty over what I was doing to myself and to others. I brought attention to the fact that I am the one in control. I decided to fully adopt the belief that I, and no one else, is accountable for my life. It was from this point on things changed.

Personally, I have never made a New Year’s Resolution. Why? Not because I’ve got nothing to change, it’s because I don’t agree with the idea. How many times have you heard “New Year, New Me!” Why wait till the New Year? Why can’t you make that change now? If it was September, are you going to keep destroying your mind and body until the New Year? People tell people that they’ve made a NY resolution so that when they break it they can tell people that they did it for 5 weeks, and then they go back to destroying their minds and bodies.
Here’s what works for me. As I mentioned above, I finally started too looked at myself and decided that I was going to hold myself accountable. I reviewed my life on what is important to me, evaluated where I was in life and, most importantly, where I wanted to be. Watch the video below to learn how to do this. I made myself feel guilty for damaging my mind and body. This is the only thing you can do to get yourself back on track. You must realise that you only have one life. Visualise what you would like your life to be like in 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years. Describe your vision in detail and hold that picture in your head. Then look back at yourself and adopt the belief that you and only you are responsible for making that dream happen. Hold yourself accountable. Take the lead of your life.
Want that body? Only YOU can put in the work.
Want to stop smoking? Only YOU can stop.
Want that job promotion? Only YOU can make the changes required
Want to start that business? Only YOU can do it.
Want to be kinder to your partner? Only YOU can control your behaviours.
This list goes on. It is always you who is responsible.
